MOOD OF THE MOMENT
I haven't watched TV or the 24-hour news channels for 15 years. It's a form of mental hygiene that I've chosen.
We are influenced by the images we see and the words we hear: they are more or less consciously imprinted on our minds. I keep my news to a minimum by choosing simple news notifications, which are more than enough for me. The more I was exposed to anxiety-provoking information, the more unbalanced I felt, and this had an impact on my general well-being, leading to compulsive eating habits. Since I've been practising this hygiene, I feel better in my head and in my body, more balanced.
What we see and hear influences our thoughts, and as Lao Tse said:
« Surveille tes pensées, car elles deviennent des mots.
Surveille tes mots, car ils deviennent des actions.
Surveille tes actions, car elles deviennent des habitudes.
Surveille tes habitudes, car elles deviennent ton caractère.
Surveille ton caractère, car il devient ton destin. »
I detach myself from the screens to do what I really love: baking, music, walks in nature, meals with friends... and sex! This allows me to take charge of my own life again, and to generate positive vibes in my body and all around me.

As an epicurean and a gourmet, I love good food. This summer, during my holidays near Annecy, I had the chance to dine at these two fabulous addresses that I'm sharing with you here.

Located in La Roche-sur-Foron, 30 minutes from Annecy
Modern French cuisine with multiple influences, fresh produce, home-made.
‘The best tartare of my life’, said the love of my life. It's true that his dish was particularly well seasoned, and the home fries with parsley butter, oh so good.
For my part, I had a perfectly balanced salmon ceviche with Asian notes. For dessert, we enjoyed a homemade tiramisu.
You can feel the love and art of cooking in every bite, and everything is perfectly balanced. I loved it and I'll be going back with my eyes closed! When we were there, we were served by a duo: the chef in the kitchen and Madame, who gave us a warm and friendly welcome.

"Umami", from Japanese “savoury”, is the fifth basic flavour along with sweet, sour, bitter and salty and this restaurant lives up to its name very well.
Sushi, yes, but let's not be afraid of superlatives: ‘the best sushi I've ever eaten’, and this time it's me saying it! Just thinking about it makes my mouth water.
Imagined by real sushi chefs, they are a demonstration of creativity, an aestheticism that delights both the eyes and the taste buds, bold combinations of tradition and modernity - in short, Japan in every bite.
Fresh home-cooked produce, view over Lac du Bourget, impeccable service: a culinary and artistic experience that I'll be delighted to repeat.
